Melanie Block

I am a native Floridan, born and raised in Tampa, FL. Moved from Tampa to Orlando area back in 2002 to attend University of Central FL where I received 2 bachelor’s degrees. Go Knights! I started out in the financial world back in 2006 with Sears Home Improvement in their credit department where I moved up through the ranks quickly – credit analyst, Trainer, Team Lead (Supervisor). I remained there for 5 years learning about Unsecured, Secured, and mortgage type loans. Life happened in the middle, but I was fortunate to find the mortgage industry in 2019 where I started as a support assistant and then transitioned to a loan officer/mortgage loan originator. I enjoy helping clients find the right financing for their starter home and the home of their dreams.

Currently, I reside in Lake Mary, FL with my loving husband, kids, 2 dogs, and 1 feisty turtle. I am a mother to 4 lovely children, 3 boys and 1 girl. On the weekends my family and I usually spend our time in downtown Sanford, FL. There is a lot to do, if you have not been you should check it out. My oldest son was the reason that I am an Advocate for MPS (Mucopolysaccharidosis) as he was born with it. I assisted getting it added to the Florida Newborn screen back in August 2018 along with other families and doctors. Since February 2020 every child born in Florida is checked for this rare disease.
